WHAT WE HELP YOUNG PEOPLE BUILD

Understand Themselves

Growth starts with self-awareness. Young people learn to recognise their patterns, strengths, weaknesses, understand what gets in their way and discover strategies that work well with them.

Get Organized

From managing assignments and responsibilities to keeping track of what needs attention, they build practical systems they actually use.

Get Started

Knowing what to do and doing it are not always the same thing. Young people learn strategies that make starting, planning and following through feel more manageable.

Handle Overwhelm

They build awareness and tools to navigate the moments when everything feels like too much.

Build Confidence

Confidence grows when young people begin to experience progress, solve problems and see that they are capable of handling more.

Grow Independence

The goal is not to do everything for them. It is to help them build the skills, awareness and confidence to take greater ownership of their own lives.

Don't miss the next session of our CORE Confidence Coaching, where every child and parent experiences transformation firsthand.

OUR GROWTH APPROACH

We believe meaningful support begins with relationships. That is why growth at Onward Rising has never simply been about reaching more people. It is about creating more ways for young people and families to access support without losing the personal connection that makes that support meaningful.

We listen. We pay attention. We work to understand the person in front of us. Then we help build practical strategies around their real life, challenges and individual strengths.
Because people are not problems to be fixed. And young people should not have to fit into a single system before they can be supported.

FAQ

Before you take the next step, here’s what you may want to know

What is executive function coaching?

Executive function coaching helps young people build practical skills for managing the demands of everyday life. Depending on the individual, this include planning, organisation, getting started, managing time, following through and developing greater self-awareness.
The goal is not to hand every young person the same system. It is to help them understand what works for them and build strategies they can continue using as life becomes more demanding.

No. While school may be one area where families see progress, our work goes beyond completing assignments or improving performance in a particular subject. We help young people develop the underlying skills, strategies and confidence that support them across school, home and other areas of life.

No. A diagnosis is not required for a young person to benefit from support. Families come to Onward Rising for many reasons, including challenges with organisation, planning, follow-through, procrastination, confidence and the transition toward greater independence.

You don’t need to have the answer before reaching out. Tell us about your young person, where they are right now and the kind of support you are looking for. We will help you understand the available pathways and identify the best place to begin.

Our programs are designed around different stages of a young person’s development and growing independence. Program pages provide specific information about who each experience is designed for.

Our programs are built around coaching, practical learning and opportunities for young people to understand themselves and develop strategies they can use in real life. The exact experience depends on the program, but the goal remains the same: helping young people build skills, confidence and greater ownership of what comes next.

Parents and families are an important part of the journey but you won’t be required to micromanage your child. The level of involvement vary by program, but Onward Rising is committed to helping families better understand the young person they are supporting and the progress being made.

We are committed to creating more pathways to access. Depending on the program and your location, scholarship or funding opportunities are available through Onward Rising and our partners. Visit our Partners page or reach out to learn more about current options.

That is a completely understandable concern. Many young people may not initially know what to expect from a new kind of support. We believe meaningful progress begins with understanding, trust and meeting young people where they are, not forcing them to become ready overnight.

How do we get started?

The best next step depends on where you are in your journey. You can explore our programs, reserve a place for our upcoming CORE KickOff or contact us directly to begin a conversation about your young person and the support you are looking for.
